July - an adventure at Glastonbury Tor, Somerset

It was the first day of July when Dally saw a conical hill in the distance, with a roofless tower on it.

The tower was the 14th century St Michael Tower which overlooked Glastonbury. Dally then realised he was looking at Glastonbury Tor! He floated all around it and then began to hear music in the distance. Festive music with lots of singing and instruments playing. It was a lovely Sunday evening and as the sun set on the horizon, Dally could see the coloured spots of thousands of tents. He remembered that the orginal meaning of Glastonbury was the Isle of Woad because thousands of years ago, the area had been covered in the ancient herb.
